This series records fragments of faces found on old, damaged posters affixed to the wall in Vlaška Street, Zagreb. Once intended for public view, the faces have gradually been covered, torn, and reduced to fragments, silhouettes, and fading traces. Through decay, they are displaced from the centre of visual communication to the margins of visibility, where identity gradually loses its legibility and becomes an anonymous presence. The photographs explore the boundary between portraiture and abstraction, public visibility and oblivion, presence and disappearance. The wall thus becomes a layered record of time in which the human face survives only as a fragile trace of a once-existing message.
